Connections that Matter

The TCU Student Veteran Mentorship Program is designed to connect student veterans with experienced mentors who provide guidance, support, and encouragement throughout the academic journey.

The goal of the program is to help student veterans thrive academically, professionally, and personally by building meaningful relationships and strengthening their sense of belonging within the Horned Frog community.

Mentors in the TCU Student Veteran Mentorship Program serve as trusted guides who are committed to supporting the success of student veterans. Faculty and staff mentors bring valuable experience and perspective, helping students navigate academics, explore career pathways, and get connected on campus.

Through consistent communication, including meeting at least once per month, mentors offer encouragement, share practical advice, and help mentees build confidence as they adjust to university life.

As a student veteran, participating as a mentee gives you the opportunity to receive personalized support based on your goals and experiences. Mentees are encouraged to meet regularly with their mentor, set goals, and take an active role in their own development.

Through this partnership, student veterans can gain confidence navigating TCU, strengthen their academic and career direction, and build meaningful connections within the TCU community.
